Below is the 'Associate Instructor Manual '. This manual contains all the information that you'll need to know as an associate instructor in the department of chemistry at IU. It contains detailed information about the duties and responsibilities of being an AI, incident response protocols, teaching tips and classroom procedures, and other information such as a background on the department and its resources. It is required that all prospective AIs read this manual, print and sign the AI agreement as well as the laboratory safety agreement, and then turn them in to the Graduate Office. It is highly recommended that current AIs reread this manual occasionally to serve as a refresher and for new information about updated polices and procedures.
