Chemistry Open House

Photo of the Chemistry Open House

The Chemistry Open House, held every year in October, opens up the doors of the Chemistry Building for visitors of all types to come in and explore the nature and aspects of chemistry. Featured in these Open Houses are hands on laboratories where guests can safely play with chemicals, laboratories of both the "haunted" and "Harry Potter" variety, and magic shows that perform chemical demonstrations that capture the interest of children and adults. Hosted by the Chemistry faculty, this event is meant to create early awareness in the science of chemistry, as well as the interesting things that you can do with it.
