Below is the 'Manual of Information and Regulations About Graduate Studies in Chemistry at Indiana Univeristy'. This manual contains all the information that you'll need to know as a chemistry graduate student at IU. It contains detailed information about the different forms of financial assistance, scholastic standards, research practices, examinations, degree requirements, thesis guidelines, the 'second year requirement', and other policies regarding things such as vacation time and professional attitude. It is highly recommended that all graduate students read and understand the information contained in this manual.
Below is the Academic Handbook for policies at Indiana University, taken from the Handbooks and Guides page on the Office of Academic Affairs' website. While graduate students aren't expected to memorize the information in this handbook, it does contain useful information regarding academic appointments, benefit plans, leave of absence information, travel information, and other things.
